Consider Child friendly Bangkok neighbourhoods where there is enough security

Security is important when moving to Bangkok as you want to ensure that your family is always safe in the comfort of your home.

If you are going to be living in a condominium complex you will usually find that these have their own security including cctv and security guards.

If you are renting a house, you might want to install your own CCTV, or maybe even get yourself a pet dog for protection!

Ensure your stay in a neighborhood where there are enough children playing grounds

If possible you should try and look for a neighborhood where your children can access enough playing facilities such as swimming pools and play areas that will enable your children to enjoy their free time.

There are many areas in Bangkok that have good local parks which have facilities for young children.

Go for neighborhoods with reputable schools for your children

If you are bringing your child over from a Western country it is important that you find a suitable school for them.

Although it will be strange for them to start mixing with other expat kids and locals, there are international schools in Bangkok that have very good reputations.

These schools understand the difficulties that children face and help them settle in to their new surroundings.

Consider living in a neighborhood that has good hospitals

The place should also have enough health facilities which will enable your child access to good medical care in case any health care or emergencies present themselves.

Fortunately Bangkok has many good hospitals, both public and private. Private hospitals usually provide a much better service, but are of course more expensive.

Public hospitals are still good though and can usually deal with any emergencies. Most doctors in Bangkok actually work between hospitals and move from international facilities to public throughout the working week.

Hopefully the above tips will help you and your family settle into your new surroundings with ease.
